What do Texas Holdem Poker & Microsoft and/or similar corps and affiliates- have in common?

 

 According to today's Fox News report, the correlation could be similar to an ALL IN or FOLD decision situation.

 

  

 

If/When Microsoft goes "ALL IN" (aka - ALL OUT) on security and your hand is not stacked you could be left with no choice but to FOLD.  If this lack of responsibility on their part is not a WAKE UP CALL to those of us who have been sitting back passively expecting that our online information is securely protected ..... then we might as well sit down at the high rollers table with our life's "NUT" in the kitty-left to the chance shuffle of the deck. 

 

 

 

 By the way this is not something that has just happened over night, the absence of any real sense of CORPORATE LIABILITY on the part of internet service providers and/or third party affiliations has been non-existent for quite some time now.  I feel that our (our = "the Internet Users") willingness to sit idly by while our privacy has been manipulated, under the veil of certain regulations or compliances is a sign of a bigger picture of what is going on in today's society in general.  We find ourselves so immersed in the use of the respective services, devices, etc., whether its texting-emailing- facebooking- tweeting-sharing pics or even purchasing things -on -a whim -with - no due diligence personally to learn the process by which any services are provided. 
 

 

 

You wouldn't gamble all of your life savings and informational assets at a Poker Table and rely on LUCK to ensure the return or security of such, yet every day ALL DAY we sign on, link in, and don't give it a second thought.  In our modern technological era, where by all of our lives are conducted in a place of obscurity, we must take individual responsibility for our actions on a much higher level than ever before.  We cannot continue to point fingers or take for granted that someone or something is going to "take care of it". That is an adolescent mentality that is no longer acceptable, and before we have to learn the hard way (and this is coming from someone who has), it is TIME TO OPEN OUR EYES AND OUR MINDS to individually and collectively (as a common society) to come up with some resolutions and implement them with the wisdom that has been obtained over the 3 (three) decades of experience. 
 
 

 

 

 Consider this, why do you think we named it the INternet.  The advancements in science, technology, medicine, sociology and psychology have prepared us for this Global "ONE-NESS" and we are expected to and "opted to" by our own participation - to be emotional and mentally stable - to make smart-informed decisions for ourselves.  IN order to survive as a race, we must advance, (all you need to do read a history book about the possible and past desecration of the human race) ... to know that its "US" as a whole, as one, who need to really be - ALL INternet - and we will see that it is time to take back awareness, stop being taken off guard and inevitably - make them FOLD.  The only thing standing in the way of further advancement is ourselves, we need to begin to leverage this amazing tool/resource we created, take responsibility for ourselves and our communities for the mutual greater good.  We were created in the image of our maker, and I know and have strong faith in the belief.....that we have not even touched the surface of all that we as Brothers and Sisters are truly capable of. 
 
 

 

(I do apologize for the lack of factual references in my above ranting's, and I will post a more detailed blog later, but for now I am just venting).  This blog was not intended for anything more than a platform for me, and any others who are in need of release, to openly and hopefully without any harsh ridicule, voice my own feelings and observations. I do not represent anyone in particular....except for the future for the next and next and next and next generations to come.

First I would like to thank you for visiting my Blog, your feedback and participation is appreciated. I hope that by the end of this reading, providing that you read to the end, that you trust my true intentions and my message is clear and perhaps even SURPRISING. You be the judge:

 

 This is going to be an inside look into the difficulties and epiphanies I have experienced while navigating my way through the maze of changes and options that have occurred in marketplace here on the web (of which sometimes I felt like a spider caught in one, for real?!)until this experience, I thought myself to be innovative and a real forward thinker (and of course, I still do), however THINGS HAVE CHANGED. It seems as though the more "privacy policy" language and rights and interests choices are expressed and very eloquently laid out, to your hearts content, the LESS actual privacy you have. Crazy I know, how could that even be possible? Well I challenge anyone who is new to all of these provisions to make and implement an expansion plan for their company and NOT have to go back to the drawing board a few times. 

 

 This may seem negative, but actually it was not all bad.  The truth is I was forced to learn some things that I would not have normally considered adding to my tool belt, and I am lover of learning and growth, wherever possible.  The ongoing and constantly changing formats for marketing and compliancy will feed that love for some time to come it seems. As I immersed myself deeper into this platform I became excited, as there are so many resources to accomplish what used to be much more complicated or nearly impossible (unless you have some kind of endless supply of money that is), which I do not remember this was a startup after all. 

 

 

The first few lessons I learned were the importance of "Backing Up" all of your  important files externally, "copyright & authoring" all of those documents (which if you have not done so, I recommend taking care of this first, NOW if possible) and without the necessity of learning an entirely new language(s) e.t.: HTML, HML, XHTML, XTML, etc. the need to have a general understanding and knowledge base of the many processes taking place is essential (I find it to be similar to the order of operations in math, without that basic formula the chances of getting the right answer becomes harder than it needs to be). Now once I had a grasp on this concept, it opened up a world of possibilities. So that being said, YES this is where "going back to the drawing board came into play", as the prior plans I had prepared to implement were now for lack of a better word OBSOLETE. Now don't get me wrong there were still elements of the original plan that would be implemented, but they also needed to be greatly expanded. I felt like a cave woman walking into her first shopping mall seeing all the bright lights blinding her as her eyes adjusted to a vision of couture clothing shops, the smell of her first Cinnabon (that smell still stops me in my tracks) and indoor plumbing (before you judge that example, THINK ABOUT IT). I am sure you will agree that although these things are wonderful and in our current time, these are novelties which we take for granted, they are simply ways in which we market, sell and promote, create jobs, build our communities, express ourselves, and find entertainment and socialize. 
 

 

This next statement may offend or shock some readers, for which I ask that you try to have an open mind and consider all the possibilities before jumping to any conclusions.  I have spent the past 6 (six) months doing nothing but diving into the internet, its community, complications, loop holes, and mostly the society contained therein which was totally foreign to me (Even though I was one of the first people I knew to have the internet when it first opened, and I still maintain the very first aol email from the  day I got on my surf board to ride my first wave when the TCP/IP, in 1982 was formally introduced to the public.  Now here I am 32 years later and finally the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Dare I express the pressure and humility that I am dealing with on a daily basis due to my gross underestimation and complete lack of understanding of the role the internet would play in shaping our modern society (To think I used it simply to chat and connect with people who had similar interests or to research an unknown factor, or to get a map quest print out). 


While I was fumbling blindly in my own world, the internet was becoming a complex tool for which we can leverage our assets to a much wider audience and a superior level than ever before and in ways that only a good sci-fi movie could truly demonstrate. This realization hit me like a ton of bricks, even giving thought to conspiracy theories or government control, I even considered that I had a lunatic stalker for a brief moment.  You are probably wondering why I am exposing my own inadequacies like I am, well let me tell you my real agenda, ulterior motive, the true purpose of all this LONG WINDED BABBLING (which it was recommended I not do, by the way) in honor of my Father, who to this day never ceases to amaze me AND WOULD BE SAYING TO ME RIGHT NOW that in brevity comes wit.........In the "off chance" that anyone else may stuck in the quick sand like I was, I wish to say only 8 words, the most valuable take away from any such experience of going blindly into the unknown is the only proof in life that:
